Five Sentence Fiction Friday - Fabric

Welcome to Friday and this week's edition of Five Sentence Fiction! This week's prompt is fabric. If you'd like to learn more about Five Sentence Fiction, or give it a try yourself, just visit Lillie McFerrin Writes. Enjoy!

"So... it really is fabric, then?"
"Of course, it's not just a  euphemism you know."
She held the shimmering fabric up in her hands, sending it rippling as she gave it a sharp tug. I reached out a hand to feel it, rough and thick in places, soft and delicate in others.
"I guess I just never thought our existence would be yellow."

Voila! I hope you liked this little story, and if you did, please share it with others! If you'd like to read more Five Sentence Fiction, just visit the links below for past editions. Don't forget to follow this blog and come find me on twitter @MelanieKCole. Have a great weekend!

  1. I think mine has a couple of worn spots and some patches. And I, too, wish it wasn't yellow. I'd prefer maroon...

Very unique take on the prompt!
